Jesus’ birth was a miracle—Sheikh Fattani

Prominent sheikh Abdul Razzak Fattani says the birth of Jesus Christ was nothing short of a miracle considering the circumstances that marked the occasion.

Fattani said angel Gabriel was sent by God to give prophesy that Mary would give birth to a boy who would be named Jesus.

He said the fact that Jesus did not have a biological father on earth symbolised the miraculous nature of his birth.

Fattani made the remarks recently as he wished Christians a happy Christmas.

“According to Quran Surah 5 verse 110, Mary was kept at an isolated place in a house where she was locked up and nobody was allowed to visit and give her food. She was being fed by angels with fruits to keep her strong until the time she gave birth.

“When she gave birth, the character of Jesus was different from anybody else born of blood and water because whatever he spoke came to pass. He said God was the creator of the universe which we Muslims also believe,” said Fattani.

Fattani urged Christians to celebrate Jesus’ birth responsibly and spend wisely because January could create problems for those who are reckless in their spending.
